Brave Face!

Dear Caida,

WOW.  I have lots to tell you about ways you have become brave lately!  First of all, we started a sticker chart thing for your medicine, but it only worked like half the time.  So Grandma Linda decided to start a fun thing where every time you take a pill quickly, you get to eat an M&M right after.  Well, I asked if it worked pretty well, and your mom said you woke THEM up at 8 am the next day to take your medicine!  Hahaha.  Hopefully you'll keep enjoying this for a few weeks, at least.  Being brave isn't about liking or wanting to do things, but about doing them, anyway--and I think finding the joy in it makes being brave even easier!

Secondly.  We went to the mall yesterday--Grandma, your mom, me, Paul, and you--and they have this bungee/trampoline thing that you were just DYING to go on.  Which surprised us all, but we figured, why not let you go and if you hate it, you'll never ask again.  I was expecting you to just jump a little, about halfway up to the ceiling at MOST, and then get freaked out...but, as you can see below, you liked it JUST FINE!

Same story with a hurricane simulator--they put winds up to 78 miles an hour, and I didn't think you'd want to do it with Grandma Linda, but instead of crying you just laughed and screamed happily.  (Grandma said the wind was so loud she couldn't even hear you screaming!)

Don't forget, Caida--you're a BRAVE GIRL!  So give those problems your BRAVE FACE!  'Cause you totally can.

Love,
Aunt Celeste
