Monkey Paul

Caida,
My heart breaks when I think about you and "Monkey" Paul. (You called him that when you were little because you couldn't say "uncle," and it stuck.) you two had such a special bond. He gave you this random pink guitar for Christmas in 2007, back when he and I were first dating, and even though you lose or break or lost interest in EVERY toy EVER, you still have and play that cheap little pink guitar today. Losing him suddenly on August 31, 2013 was the hardest thing I've ever had to go through, and part of that is because I wonder if you'll even remember him as you get older and the memories of childhood blur.

Just remember that Monkey Paul loved you. SO. MUCH!
Columbian Park, etc. 2008.

Our wedding reception! May 2009.
I've already mentioned this somewhere. :)
Your special 8th (?) birthday, dinner and the theater!
Waiting for the rest of us to get ready for your mom and Casey's wedding!

Easter last year...your were trying to fly kites or something in Grandma Linda's backyard. :)

I know he's played a BIG part of your testimony, and your mom even says that if it weren't for Paul's death you guys wouldn't be back to church or preparing to be sealed in the temple! Paul loved you all sooooo very much, and he had a FIRM belief in the sealing power of the temples. I know he will be there when you are sealed to your mom and dad forever. I will try to be worthy to be there too.

This picture is one you drew for Paul. I buried him with it. It is so special to me.

I miss him so much, Caida. I know you do, too. But how lucky are we to have been loved by such an awesome guy?! And how much *luckier* are we that we get to be with him forever?! I'll answer your questions and remind you of him and his awesome smile, goofy laugh, and incredible love any time you want.

Love,
Aunt Celeste
